Brass is a malleable metal that is easily drawn, blanked, stamped and sheared. It is an ideal shim material for adjusting jigs, fixtures and machinery, for spacing arbors, and correcting plane bodies and jointer bed alignments. Because of its ductility, it is also an excellent model-maker’s accessory that readily accepts complex manipulation.
